Joan Amendolara, LCSW
Ms. Amendolara has 25 years of experience in mental health. A major portion of her work was specific to the community; Director of Senior Services, for a home-based senior program, Director of Social Services at a nursing/rehabilitation facility, Child Study Team Coordinator at the elementary school level and Supervisor of Social Services in the Drake Complex, Trenton Psychiatric Hospital.
Understanding the importance of volunteer advocacy, she has served on the Board of the Passaic County Mental Health Association, and the Executive Committee as Vice President and President. Currently, she serves as President of Mt. Hope Counseling, LLC, and is a long-term member of the NASW.
As a therapist she maintains a high level of professionalism, empathy, and passion about her work, as well as a high standard of educational competency within her field. She creates a comfortable, safe environment for patients, demonstrating respect, awareness and general cultural sensitivity.
